If you were wondering, we had a small site hiccup just before Xmas. Nothing serious – but lemons/lemonade and all, I thought we’d use the downtime to get some important stuff out of the way.
I’ve been speaking about new stuff for some time, things we are working on. I’d very much hoped to have the first new sites ready in time for reopening, but they are not quite there yet. We can’t leave our main site offline indefinitely, so I’ve reopened without them. Stay tuned though, because those new things are just around the corner.
We are running the same version of Art of Zoo as previously. It’s very much on it’s last legs – so if you spot any major problems please let us know. Somewhat updated ArtOfZoo is also just around the corner, to coincide with the new sites.
We’ve gotten a lot done in the past few months. Restructuring our team and goals – we’ve added 2 new core team Members. Both ladies – hopefully the new ladies will lady the place up a bit. I’m sure our regulars will run into the new ladies at some point. Please make them feel welcome, and help them get settled in.
ARTOFZOO TELEGRAM NEWS BOT
We’ve added a new Telegram bot. This should allow us to send you media updates and news directly, without the usual problems associated with putting our content into public (or private) Telegram channels.
I’d encourage you to subscribe – with email newsletters, we can only send 100 per hour. With a mailing list of around 100,000 subscribers and growing, it takes over a month to send out our newsletter. Meaning it’s not really news by the time everyone gets it. The new Telegram bot sends 30 message per SECOND. Quite a major difference, we could send 90k in around an hour. Plus, it’s a lot easier to pump out quick news as stuff happens. As we slowly rebuild our network from the ground up, staying in touch with everyone becomes increasingly important.

Long-time Members have maybe noticed I’ve been quite tight-lipped lately, about plans. Back in the day, I’d be very open about network plans. There is a reason for all this, and all will become clear soon.
